wool and cashmere blend coat for washing?
Ok, you know how when you wash a polar fleece top several times, the fabric is no longer soft and smooth and becomes bumpy? Well here's my question, I have a wool and cashmere blend coat from Paddington Factory. I've had it for a year now, but have never washed it cos I'm afraid it'll turn the wool like it does with polar fleece when its been washed several times. Do you get what i mean? Also, I'm wondering if it'll shrink. The coat has the wool/cashmere fabric on the outer shell, and inside the lining is just polyester. Would it be ok to put it in the washing machine, provided I've added in the right detergent (i.e. laundry liquid for wool clothing) and used warm water?
wool will shrink in water. DO NOT WASH IT. go to a dry cleaner, try to go to a "green" cleaner, and get it dry cleaned.
