Fabric Black

could i use fabric dye to make this black?

the bear ears, could i use black fabric dye to turn them black?
i typed dye, not die sweetheart.

&it's for a costume i can't find black ones anywhere.
i'm just not sure since it's fur and not fabric.

It's reeeaally hard to make a true "black" with fabric dye, particularly the type dye you find easily. Also, "natural" fabrics like cotton, silk, linen, rayon, etc., take dye much easier than polyesters, etc. and the fur is probably not made from a natural fabric.

I'd probably go with the spray paint idea instead (use a *flat* black paint --regular paint, or "fabric" paint which would be more expensive). You'll have to spray the fur a number of times (in bursts) though to get the fur fairly well covered, and it might get a bit stiff but that would be okay for what you're doing.

Or better, just put some black fur or fabric over the ears you have.
