For those who scrapbook, is there a way to set eyelets other than with an eyelet setter?
I have 100s of eyelets that I am dying to use but I lost my setter and don't have the cash or time to buy a new one (closest store is over an hour away). I was wondering if there is something else I could use...some sort of tool perhaps????!! Thanks so mch! If I can get this question answered I will be ONE HAPPY SCRAPBOOKER!!!!
I don't have an eyelet setter, so what I do is use a hole punch either the same size as the eyelet or one size smaller to punch the hole, then insert the eyelet and take a hand held hole punch that is 1/8 of an inch and put it over the eyelet (if it is a small eyelet) and the punch part of the hole punch will go through the center of the eyelet when you squeeze it the pressure will cause the back of the eyelet to clamp down.
