by Jane Smith

Creating your own christmas cards this year is the coolest way to do it. Stopping to reflect on what christmas is all about and spending time with the famliy is really important. Not too many people make their own christmas cards, which will make your cards the neatest holiday cards this year!

Creating this years christmas cards may not be as hard as you think. And the price may certainly surprise you as well. The things you will need to put your christmas cards together are more then likely in your junk or craft drawer. But that wont stop you from running down to the craft store to pick up a few things. Something on your list should be christmas cutouts.

When creating your christmas scrapbook card, try to come up with a theme first. Some of the more popular themes might be something like santas workshop. You can cut up pictures of everybody doing something funny! Remember to be creative though, and it really wont matter what you do. Just have fun with the family!

You shouldnt worry about making cards taking a vast amount of your time. I wouldnt expect to just breeze through them either, otherwise you might as well just go out and buy them. You should enjoy spending time with your famliy. And what better way to spend time with the famliy this holiday season then sitting down togther and whipping up christmas cards?

Now is a good time to start rounding up some pictures for those christmas cards. Make sure to find plenty of pictures with your famliy doing outrageous and funny things. If you dont have any, which I find hard to believe, then take some! The only thing you will have to figure out is whether or not you want color photos, or the old black and white. What it will depend on is what kind of mood you want to set with your christmas card.

Going with color pictures will bring your christmas cards to life. While black and white will bring with it a more serious look. What it all will mean of course is how you want to be seen. Although it really wont matter which one you go with as Im sure both will be excellent, and both will mean just as good of a time.

And if you are worried about price, dont be, as these cards are fairly cheap to make. And if that nots good enough, then make them cheaper. Just try to keep the extras to a minimum and it shouldnt be a problem. Keeping the picture count down will also help keep the cards cheap. And if the price of the pictures is getting out of hand, then print them yourself. Not such a bad idea if you think about it.

Dont forget the whole point of this activity is to have fun this christmas! And if you can get your supplies at a good price, it could be cheaper then buying cards already made. Keep in mind the whole point of making your own christmas cards. Making good memories with your family and having fun. Enjoy this holiday season!
